Adventure Kitty Explores the Okinawan Festival
(A Fun and Educational Coloring Book for Kids Ages 5–10)

Illustrated, written, and published by Kenny C. Aitch, this bilingual coloring book is written in both Japanese and English.

Inspired by the HUOA’s annual Okinawan Festival held each year in Honolulu, Hawai‘i, this book follows Adventure Kitty as they attend the lively event. What begins as a local celebration soon becomes a colorful journey through Okinawan traditions, foods, crafts, and legends.

Some booths in the story reflect real parts of the 2025 Okinawan Festival, while others are inspired by the rich cultural heritage of Okinawa and the vibrant stories of Hawai‘i’s Okinawan community.

Created in honor of HUOA’s ongoing commitment to commemorating the 125th anniversary of Okinawan immigration.
